Last Updated: September 26, 2024
Date of Arrival: September 12, 2024
Age: Approx. 4 months (DOB estimated May 2024)
Breed: Pomeranian
Size: 8-10 lbs (Expected adult weight 15-20 lbs)
Gender: Male
Adoption Status: Fox is on medical hold
Personality: Fox is a playful, sweet, and quirky puppy. He likes blankets and being around people.
House training/Pee Pad Training: Fox is just a puppy but he is working hard at house training and doing great at it. We'll think he'll have it down in no time.
Walks/Leash Training: Fox has not yet started his leash training.
Children: Fox likes children. The small human in his foster home is quickly becoming his person. However, we will look for a home where the children are dog-savvy and respectful of his space, due to his small size.
Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Fox is doing well with the other animals in his foster home.
Best Home Environment: TBD. Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.
A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.
A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.
We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.
Health: Fox has not yet completed his vetting. He had a break in one of his back legs that did not heal properly and will need to undergo surgery to correct this.
History: Fox was an abandoned stray, picked up by Jenn's Furry Friends Rescue and transferred to Cupcakes. We thank Jenn for entrusting Fox to our care.
Adoption Fee: Fox's adoption fee is $600.
Please download our application and follow instructions to apply for any of our dogs in care.
Please note we do not review and process any applications until a dog is ready for adoption.
Due to the high volume of interest in our cupcakes dogs, we regretfully cannot provide personalized responses to applicants at this time. We also are not maintaining any adoptions waitlists. Please visit our FB page where we will provide updates on how our dogs are doing as often as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
