Date of Arrival:  March 25, 2024

Age: 9.5 yrs old

Breed:  Pomeranian

Size:  7-8 lbs

Gender:  Female

Must Haves: Snuggles!

Adoption Status: Hope is on medical hold

Personality: Little Hope is as sweet as can be. She is well adjusted in her foster home, loves head scratches, dislikes being brushed, and is extremely food motivated.

House training/Pee Pad Training:  Hope is pee pad and outdoor trained.

Walks/Leash Training:  Hope loves going out and is a good little walker!

Children:  Hope has had some interactions with young kids and did very well. She is a very friendly little dog. However, given her size, a home with older, dog savvy children will be given preference.

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  Hope gets along well with the other dog in her foster home. They are of similar age and energy level.

Best Home Environment:  TBD. Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  Hope has started her vetting and has some treatment to work through and healing to do before she will be available for adoption.

History:  Hope was an extremely neglected stray who found her way to Jenn's Furry Friends before coming to us at Cupcakes. We are honoured to have worked together with Jenn to help Hope.

Adoption Fee:  Hope's adoption fee is $425

Please download our application and follow instructions to apply for any of our dogs in care.

Please note we do not review and process any applications until a dog is ready for adoption.

Due to the high volume of interest in our cupcakes dogs, we regretfully cannot provide personalized responses to applicants at this time. We also are not maintaining any adoptions waitlists. Please visit our FB page where we will provide updates on how our dogs are doing as often as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
