Adoption Status: We are accepting applications, however we will not process them until we have gotten to know Star and what type of home is best for her so we can make the best match. She will also need to complete the health assessment and any identified care in her health plan before moving to her forever home.
Personality: Star is absolutely a bright, beautiful, shining star. She is a bit shy and timid but is learning quickly. She lets people pick her up and cuddle her and is a gentle little soul. She is not keen on going outside but has mastered the three steps in and out of the house already! She really is most happy indoors in a snuggly bed!
House training/Pee Pad Training: Star is just starting to learn this process and will need time to learn and master the "personal business" process but so far she is doing really great doing her business outside or on the pee pad.
Walks/leash training: It is a bit too soon to start leash and walk training. We will update more once we get to know her and she starts this process.
Children: At the moment we think Star would be best with older children is any because she is quite nervous.
Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Star is doing well with the other dogs and kitties in her foster home. She watches the cats but is leaving them alone, which makes the cats very happy!
Best Home Environment: Star's ideal home will be a quiet place where her people will give her the space she needs to become comfortable. She can be nervous so her people will need to be understanding of this. Star is good with cats and dogs so a few buddies might be nice for her.
Health: Star will have a full health assessment and a care plan will be established and completed. At this time, we know the plan will include vaccine review and update as needed, spay surgery and deworming. We suspect she might need some dental care as well. We will provide more information after she has her health plan.
History: Our shining little Star is an owner-breeder surrender. We are so thankful that this owner retired her to our rescue to find a great forever home!
Adoption Fee: When Star is ready for adoption (after completing health assessment and care including spay surgery), her adoption fee will be $425.00
