Billie

Last Updated:  January 24, 2024

Date of Arrival: January 20, 2023

Age:  6 months

Breed:  Pomeranian X

Size:  Approx. 9 lbs

Gender:  Female

Adoption Status:  We are accepting applications

Must Haves:  Squeaky toys & someone to brush my beautiful hair!

Personality:  Billie is a shy girl but oh so sweet. She is a typical playful, mischievous puppy!

Her foster mama has been working hard to help her become the best pup she can be.

House training/Pee Pad Training:  Billie is brand new to indoor life and will be learning many new things including housetraining.

Walks/Leash Training:  Billie has no experience with a collar or leash yet. Her foster mom has been working on this with Billie indoors and she is slowly getting used to them.

Children:  With proper introduction we do not see this being any issue. Children should be dog savy as she is quite small and timid. Sudden quick movements may startle her.

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  Billie is good with the other pups in her home. She is very playful.

Best Home Environment:  A home that will continue helping Billie with her training. She would love another fur sibling similar in size as she is timid but loves to play!

A note about secure fencing: While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk: A flight risks can be the result of many things - fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of a fence. Any of these reasons could lead to a dog looking to break free of a leash or seek out gaps in fencing so they can move beyond the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enroll in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. The purpose in such participation is to build trust between human and dog, to help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills. These things are in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:   She is a clinically healthy puppy!

History: Billie comes to us as part of a large intake from the Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue of Manitoba.

Adoption Fee:  Billie's adoption fee is $500
