Blitz

Updated: 4 days ago

Last Updated:  May 5, 2025

Date of Arrival:  April 16, 2025

Age:  Approx. 4 years old

Breed:  Pomeranian X

Size:  10 lbs

Gender:  Male

Adoption Status:  Accepting applications, pending his neuter

Personality:   Blitz is the sweetest pup. He is calm, gorgeous and GREAT with all people and other dogs. However Blitz really does not like to be alone. More than anything, he would love a home with someone who can be with him most of the time.

House training/Pee Pad Training: Blitz is doing well with housetraining, but has showed some marking behaviours. We expect this to improve with his neuter. In the meantime, he is great with a belly band.

Walks/Leash Training:  Blitz walks well on a leash

Children:  Blitz is excellent with children.

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  Blitz has hung out with several dogs and done well. He is more of a submissive guy, from what we've seen so far.

Best Home Environment:  Blitz needs a family where someone will be home with him most of the time. He really does not like to be left alone and bonds quickly with his person. He cannot have shared walls because when he is left alone he cries. This sweet boy would be great for any human(s) who wants to invite his love into their lives.

Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  Blitz has a neuter pending.

History:  Blitz was an owner surrender

Adoption Fee:  Blitz's adoption fee is $500
