Introduction: Miss Lottie is a sweet gentle soul who has just joined the cupcake family. We will update her biography as we get to know her.

Personality: She is a very quiet gentle little lady.

House training/Pee Pad Training: To be assessed

Walks/leash training: To be assessed

Children: To be assessed

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Lottie is in a home with very calm confident dogs (large and small) who have helped many foster dogs in the past. She is doing well and remains calm and relaxed with them.

Best Home Environment: To be assessed

Health: Lottie got the worst news from her health assessment. She is very overweight which makes her care plan more complicated. Lottie has been found to be heartworm positive. Normally the treatment protocol is four months involving a series of injections and two overnight stays at the vet clinic. Unfortunately because of her weight, the injections cannot be done as they can not reach in deep enough to be effective. Thus she will be undergoing a 9 month treatment plan of topical treatments which work more slowly. During this time we hope she can also drop some weight. Then at 9 months if further treatment is needed, we could possibly use the injection treatment if she has lost weight. Lottie will be in the care of Cupcakes Rescue until she has cleared her heartworm treatment.

History: Lottie was a stray at Winnipeg Animal Services. After she went unclaimed and passed the legal requirements for ownership, Winnipeg Animal Services transferred her to our care to become a Cupcakes dog. We are grateful for their entrusting Lottie to us and we will honour Lottie by doing our best to ensure she has great medical care and a wonderful forever home.

Adoption Fee: When Lottie is ready for adoption, her adoption fee will be $400.00
