Adoption Status: We are accepting applications, however Sammie will not be adopted until she has completed her vetting.
Personality: Sammie is a sweet, timid, little soul. She is just settling in and starting to learn about life in her new foster home. After about the first week, Sammie found her bark and loves to chat away watching the snowflakes fall. We think she's going to become more and more playful as she becomes comfortable. Right now she loves to run around in the snow and bring toys to her bed.
House training/Pee Pad Training: Sammie is just starting to learn this process and will need time to learn and master the "personal business" process.
Walks/leash training: It is a bit too soon to start leash and walk training. We will update more once we get to know her and she starts this process. Sammie didn't have any recall skills when she came to us, but she improving every day.
Children: Sammie is in a home with wonderful dog-savvy teens and is doing great. We will update more as we get to know her.
Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Sammie is in a home with other small dogs. She is doing well, even with the one dog who gets a bit excited around Sammie. We will update more as we see how she does.
Best Home Environment: Sammy would be best in a home with someone who is home often. She has a "preferred person" in her foster home and although she is friendly with everyone she is most comfortable with her person. She likes the other dogs in her foster home but we think she would be okay as an only dog.
Health: Sammie is awaiting her spay
History: Sweet Sammie is an owner-breeder surrender. We are so thankful that this owner retired Sammie to our rescue to find a great forever home!
Adoption Fee: When Sammie is ready for adoption (after completing her health assessment and care, including her spay surgery), her adoption fee will be $450.00
