Sarah

Last Updated:  March 10, 2024

Date of Arrival:  March 2, 2024

Age:  1 year

Breed:  Pomeranian

Size:  6-8 lbs

Gender:  Female

Adoption Status:  Adoption in process

Personality:  Sarah is a happy little girl who loves snuggles. She is quickly adjusting to house life. Her foster family has fallen in love with her and will be adopting her as soon as she is medically cleared.

House training/Pee Pad Training: Sarah is now housetrained.

Walks/Leash Training:  Sarah has no experience with a leash or harness. These slippery sidewalks have been less than ideal for any practice.

Children:  TBD

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Sarah is good with her foster dog sibling.

Best Home Environment:  TBD. A home with a secure fence may be given preference.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  Sarah has not yet completed her vetting.

History:  Sarah is a breeder surrender. She came to us through a larger intake via the Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba. We are thankful that we can play a small part in helping a larger group of dogs receive care and find warm, loving, forever homes.

Adoption Fee:  Sarah's adoption fee is $450.

Please download our application and follow instructions to apply for any of our dogs in care.

Please note we do not review and process any applications until a dog is ready for adoption.

Due to the high volume of interest in our cupcakes dogs, we regretfully cannot provide personalized responses to applicants at this time. We also are not maintaining any adoptions waitlists.
