Date of Arrival: May 2, 2026
Age: 6
Breed: Yorkie
Size: Approx 9lbs
Gender: Male
Adoption Status: Mack is adoption pending.

Personality: Mack is very new to us and we are getting to know him. So far he's a mover and jumper with a fiesty side!
House training/Pee Pad Training: Mack appears to be housetrained
Walks/Leash Training: Mack got very excited when the leash and harness came out. He is a good walker and corrects well when needed.
Children:TBD
Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: Mack likes playing with his foster puppy sister and has lots of terrier energy. He has no problem telling her off when he needs some of his space back. He does however show some food aggression and possessiveness so will need to be watched with that or fed separately.
Best Home Environment: We are still getting to know Mack and will update!
Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.
A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.
A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.
We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.
Health: Mack is waiting for his vet appointment.
History: Mack was entrusted to us by Winnipeg Animal Services.
Adoption Fee: 0-12 months - $600 || 1-8 years - $500 || 9+ years - $400
