Age:  10

Breed:  Spaniel X

Personality:  Shaya is a very, very sweet and easy-going gal who makes friends wherever she goes. We are still getting to know her and will update.

House training/Pee Pad Training:  Shaya is mostly housetrained and will use pee-pads when it's very cold out.

Walks/Leash Training:  TBD

Children:  Shaya is excellent with children

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  Shaya is excellent around other dogs even very energetic ones!

Best Home Environment:  Shaya is just a calm, beautiful lady looking for a soft place to land with lots of love to give. We will update more as we get to know her.

Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  TBD

History:  Shaya is an owner surrender

Adoption Fee:  0-12 months - $600 || 1-8 years - $500 || 9+ years - $400
