Date of Arrival: April 26, 2025
Age: Approx. 4 years old
Breed: Pomeranian X
Size: 15 lbs
Gender: Female
Adoption Status: Adoption in process, pending her completion of vetting.

Personality: We are still getting to know Tika, but she is a wonderful little dog, albeit somewhat clingy and insecure. We are confident that with stability, love, and encouragement, she will grow in confidence. Tika adores the dog-savvy child in the home. She is gentle and her tail never stops wagging.
House training/Pee Pad Training: Tika is housetrained, and lets the humans know when she needs to be let out.
Walks/Leash Training: Tika is a fabulous walker.
Children: Tika loves children.
Dogs, Cats and Other Friends: TBD

Best Home Environment: Tika is constantly seeking affection and reassurance. While we recognize that these things are important, we believe that it is also important for her to build some independence, so that she does not develop separation anxiety. Future adopters will want to continue to help her in this area.
Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.
A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.
A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.
We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.
Health: Tika has not yet completed her vetting.
History: Tika was an owner surrender
Adoption Fee: Tika's adoption fee is $500
