Last Updated:  August 26th, 2026

Date of Arrival:  August 20th, 2026

Age:  4

Breed:  Pomeranian

Size:  Approx 12 lbs

Gender:  Female

Adoption Status:  Ivy is not yet ready for adoption

Personality:  Ivy is a very sweet girl who loves being outside. She is a happy dog who gets along well with other dogs and has been great with the kids she has met so far. She is still quite a nervous girl and she will need patience as she continues to grow in confidence - along with a fully fenced yard.

House training/Pee Pad Training:  S

Walks/Leash Training:

Children:  She is good with kids

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  She has been great with the other dogs she's met so far.

Best Home Environment:  TBD - we will update as we continue to get to know her. So far we know she will need a fully fenced yard and people who will love her and work with her as she continues to grow her confidence.

Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  Ivy is currently in heat and will need to have a spay.

History:  Ivy is an owner surrender

Adoption Fee:  0-12 months - $600 || 1-8 years - $500 || 9+ years - $400
